Good Pasta side dish recipe?

Does anyone have a relatively simple pasta side dish that would go well with breaded pork chops? I would like to make it tonight. No tomato sauce please, if it can be helped. Thanks!Good Pasta side dish recipe?
********PASTA WITH OLIVE OIL AND GARLIC

3/4 c. virgin olive oil

6 cloves garlic, chopped

1 1/2 tsp. salt

Freshly ground pepper

4 tbsp. finely chopped parsley

Simple macaroni salad..... Macaroni, salad dressing or mayo, sweet relish, salt and pepper, onion salt, celery chopped (optional).
Get some heavy cream or half and half and fresh Parmesan Cheese and grate it over the cream, add galic and salt and pepper to taste and let the cheese thicken as it melts. Pour over noodles and serve with the pork chops.

Doesn't have to be hard and it doesn't have to be long...just good!
Cheesy Penne.

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium to large white onion, diced

1/4 cup finely chopped parsley leaves, plus about 12 small sprigs to garnish

1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram, or 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh marjoram

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, or 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme leaves

1/4 cup cornstarch

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1 (16-ounce) package penne pasta

1/2 stick (2 ounces, or 1/4 cup) butter, cut into chunks

4 ounces cream cheese, cut into chunks

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.

Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a medium saucepot, and saute garlic and onion until the onions become translucent, being careful not to burn them. Add crushed fresh parsley, marjoram and thyme. Create a slurry by gradually whisking cornstarch into 1/2 cup water. Add the slurry to the sauce to thicken and season, to taste, with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer about 20 minutes, checking periodically to make sure the sauce doesn't burn.

While the sauce is cooking, boil the penne until al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain through a colander and set aside.

Remove the sauce from the heat, and whisk in butter and cream cheese. Add the boiled pasta to the sauce and gently fold in. Transfer to serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley.
Here is a favorite in my house.

1 - 8- oz. Package of Noodles

Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain and return to the pot. Stir in butter and remaining ingredients. Serve immediately.

Pasta with sauce and some cheese. Tastes really good!
garlic spaghetti

boil pasta. heat a few tb. of olive oil and a few pats of butter with minced jarred of fresh chopped garlic, I use 4-5 cloves, in a saute pan. just heat it til the garlic barely browns, you don't want it to burn. When the pasta is finished, drain and put back in pot, pour the olive oil, and garlic over the pasta. Toss in grated parmesan cheese, garlic salt and fresh chopped, or dried parsley. Drizzle on more olive oil if it seems too dry. I serve this with all meats, poultry or fish. easy and yummy. Good alone too.
I just answered a question asking for a carb dish; you might like the same thing I suggested there.

Basically, spiral or bow-tie pasta, fluffed with a bit of Italian dressing and vinegar, as well as a few different spices depending on your personal taste. Honey is also an option, and you might like to include diced tomatoes. Then, garnish it with feta cheese and fresh herbs. Mmm =]

pasta alio oliglio. Heat olive oil and minced garlic. Don't be shy with the ingredients. Just when it begins to sizzle, turn off the heat and cover for a few minutes; it imparts the garlic flavor into the oil. Heat over low and stir in oregano and parsley.
